Intertek Testing Services - Engineer June 2004 - Present

• TESTING: My experience is diverse and includes the testing of computerized locks and other devices to
Builders Hardware Manufacturers Association (BHMA) and Underwriters Laboratories (UL) standards. This
testing is very specific, and my responsibility is to ensure that the testing is always performed to code. Time
management is essential to the completion of the testing on time. I work in conjunction with other Intertek
facilities which specialize in electrical testing to ensure that the testing is completed on time and performed
correctly in service to the clients.
•DESIGNING and BUILDING: My current position utilizes very specialized design and building of test
equipment. I am trained in the use of a vast array of tools ranging from a welder to computer numerical
control (CNC). I am also proficient with the use of advanced equipment such as computer-controlled
pneumatics and programmable logic controllers (PLC). These specialized set-ups are used to test electrified
hardware for the hardware industry.
•PROJECT MANAGEMENT: These duties include managing multiple projects, provided technical
support to technicians, writing technical reports, interacting with customers on a daily basis when testing a
product, and setting up new test equipment.
Farm Worker 1986-2004

• Assisted in my family’s extensive dairy farm operations. This included the installation and running of an
innovative new dairy goat operation in 1992.
• HANDS ON mechanical experience with farm and automotive equipment. Rebuilt tractor motors, made
mechanical repairs on haybines, round and square balers, manure spreaders, mixer mill, etc. Replaced head
gaskets on a Subaru Outback. Performed troubleshooting and repair on automobiles with OBD code scanner
including camshaft position sensor, EGR valves, knock sensors, etc.
