Serck Services International is a part of UK based Unipart Group of companies. It mainly deals with design, construction & Refurbishment of Shell & Tube type Heat Exchangers, Pressure Vessels, Air Coolers & Pig Launchers.
Following are the details of job activities performed in Serck Services Gulf Limited
• Handled Projects relating QA/QC Activities for Clients like ADMA OPCO (Refurbishment of Heat Exchangers tube bundles, Air Coolers, Oil Coolers ), Zadco (Refurbishment of Heat Exchangers,hper Filter vessel, Fin Fan Coolers) Takreer (Heat Exchangers, Test Rings,Condensers shell ), Total ABK ( Refurbishment of Heat Exchanger Tube Bundle, Fin Fan Cooler ), Exterran Belleli Energy (Heat Exchangers) .
• Responsible for preparation of all QC Documents as per the Project requirements such as Inspection & Test Plan, Weld & N.D.T Map,W.P.S & P.Q.R, Work Procedures such as Re-Tubing Procedure, Hydro Test Procedure, Tube to Tube Sheet Expansion Procedure, Pneumatic Test Procedure,etc & N.D.T Procedures prior to the start of the Project.

• Arranging any Third Party Inspectors / Authorized Inspector after the Clients Approval before the Commencement of Fabrication activities.
• Interpreting the Drawings given by the Design department before the start of Fabrication prior to the Pre-Inspection Meeting with the Client or any T.P.I.
• Ensuring proper Identification is given on the Material as per Serck QA/QC Manual.
• Having thorough knowledge in Welding Section and performing various activities such as Selecting Correct W.P.S from the Past Records to carry out Welding activities on the Current Work, Selecting proper Welding Process as per the suitability of the Project, Responsible for arranging & conducting W.P.S & W.Q.T as per Section IX, Maintaining all Welder Certificates for periodic Extensions, Ensuring Correct Drawing & WPS are placed and followed at the Worksite, Ensuring correct Welding Consumables are used on the Job, ensuring that proper Electrodes are baked at proper temperatures before use, Ensuring proper Welder is welding the joints as per their Qualifications, Educating Welders to follow the instructions given on the W.P.S, Ensuring closed Welding Environment in case of bad weather & providing periodic training to the Welders to Control the Work Repair Rate.
• Performing visual Inspection on the welded joints prior to performing any N.D.T activities and ensuring that the welded joints are properly identified by the appropriate Welder Identification Number.
• Ensuring the weld fillet sizes as per mentioned in the drawing.
• Coordinating with N.D.T subcontractors to perform any N.D.T on the Welded Joints.
• Interpreting Radiography films, witnessing N.D.T such as M.P.T, L.P.T, U.T, Hardness test & P.M.I on the performing jobs & reviewing the reports for the same.
• Ensuring proper Expansion percentage is maintained while performing tube to tube sheet expansion & preparing reports for the same.
• Witnessing any Mechanical / Quality testing such as Tensile Test, Bend Test, Spectro Analysis Test (P.M.I) etc.. On the materials in the Laboratory.
• Ensuring proper dimensions are maintained as per the drawing and are in tolerance limits as per the Code and Verifying the Equipment thoroughly as per the drawing.
• To raise Non Conformity Report if any deviation is found during Fabrication & close it out before the Hydro test of the Equipment.
• Witnessing Hydro testing, Pneumatic Testing of all types of Equipments & preparing the reports for the same.
• Preparing Manufacturing Record Book (Quality Dossier) containing all Quality documents during the given period of time.
• Ensuring proper Paint system as per Client Requirement is followed.
• Carrying out Blasting & Painting Inspections such as Blasting Profile & Surface Finish Check, Salt Contamination Test on the Surface, Painting Dry Face Thickness Check, ‘X’ Cut Tape Test & Holiday Testing in the Sub-Contractors Work place.
• Subcontracting Retuning Work Done in UAE for Descon, Abu Dhabi :
• Headed a Team of 6 Welders, 4 Fabricators, 8 Technician & 2 Supervisors for a Shutdown work in ADGAS Plant in Das Island UAE.
