Project Brief:
MTO is chartered to implement an integrated solution to support the
management of Ontario's International Registration Plan (IRP) and
Oversize/Overweight (O/O) Permitting programs. OO Application is SOA
designed application. O/O permits are issued for vehicles that exceed the
weight or dimension limits prescribed in the Highway Traffic Act. Different
types of permits are available like Annual permits, single trip permit,
project permit and SVC (Special vehicle configuration) permit. OO
application allows transaction on permits like amendments, renewal, hold,
cancellation reinstate, suspend and replace permit. This project involves
the replacement of the existing MTO legacy OO application with a Commercial-
Off-The Shelf (COTS) solution that will be integrated to the rest of the
MTO systems and process. The current OO reside in an ORACLE (RDBMS)
database and the Celtic COTS solution is a SQL server database. Celtic will
be responsible for the data conversion from source to target.
