Commander, Logistics Readiness Squadron
Supervisor: Col Charles Monroe 210-***-****)
Okay to contact this Supervisor: Yes
As the Logistics Readiness Commander, I set forth new programs
to track the different entities assigned to the Squadron. I
directed subordinate supervisors to brief me weekly on the
various programs within the squadron. This briefing is also
used to track the productivity of the different areas
assigned. This program enhances the pulse of the squadron and
is available upon request from Senior Commanders. I review the
Supply Analysis program, which compares the 149th Supply to
like units. My knowledge, expertise, and ability to lead
ensured that the 149th Supply and Transportation functions met
or exceeded the ANG standards in all areas. I direct
subordinate supervisors to ensure customers are personally
contacted on a quarterly basis. This has resulted in a
decrease of customer complaints. All customers have the
opportunity to view the intra net for information concerning
the Squadron. Customers may also use the intra net to download
listings affecting dollars spent for mission support. This has
enhanced the effectiveness of customer requirements and
support. I implemented a variety of programs to support the
204th SFS. Recently, through subordinate personnel under my
direction, I was instrumental in identifying unfunded requests
of the GSU and securing over 75k to support these
requirements. In the management of personnel, I always take a
hands on approach improving both morale and performance.

Commander
Supervisor: Col Mark Stephens 210-***-****)
Okay to contact this Supervisor: Yes
As the Aircraft Maintenance Squadron Commander, I developed
and implemented numerous short and long-term plans in support
of our F-16 flying training mission. This included
organizational development required to accomplish precise
aircraft maintenance functions essential to the Wing's goals
and objectives. Through subordinate supervisors directed and
supervised staff and production functions relating to very
complex and high performance aircraft with a wide variety of
high cost and highly sophisticated systems. Determined and
established goals for the squadron by reviewing, accepting and
if necessary adjusting short or long term work initiatives.
Planned, organized all squadron and on numerous occasions the
group aircraft maintenance resources to insure that our
mission requirements were being met. This included ensuring
training of all Guard members was being accomplished to insure
the maintenance and repair of our F-16 c and d models and
associated equipment. Training included a host of procedures
that involved the maintenance and repair of extremely
complicated aircraft, with multiple on board systems,
involving avionics, missile guidance, fire control, mission
systems, propulsion systems, weapons defense systems and other
systems peculiar to our F-16 c and d models.Directed, managed
and monitored the preparation of our budget and financial
plans. Provided optimum support to subordinate sections in
asset acquisition, distribution and accountability, fiscal
planning and programming, funds distribution and management,
economic analysis assistance, budget administration, material
management, and other related activities. Coordinated with the
Operations Group Commander and their senior leadership to
ensure an integrated approach to the solution of problems
related to aircraft availability and configuration to ensure
we were able to meet mission requirements. Planned,
implemented, and coordinated multiple complex and often
competing mission requirements and commitments. Ensured
simultaneous capability to carry out both deployed and home
station maintenance and training requirements. Planned,
implemented, and executed numerous contingency operations
involving from as little as two and as many as eight aircraft
in support of recent real world contingencies. In addition,
dispatched maintenance recovery teams all over the country to
recover disabled aircrafts. On various occasions maintained
direct contact with National Guard Bureau staff and with
counterparts at other bases in order to resolve problems
affecting maintenance capabilities and to ensure timely
exchange of pertinent technical, managerial, and mission
information. A prime example of this wide spread coordination
was when we recently acquired targeting pods.
