* Rotor Wing Mechanic II: Performed heavy engine maintenance including removing engine gearboxes, turbines, compressors, fuel controls. Also performed compressor splits, inspection of rotating blades and cases.

* Turn qualified on UH-1H, 206-B and 206-C. Performed engine ground turns (High power ground turns). Perform post phase inspection operational checks. Accomplish installation, inspection, repair and replacement of airframe and powerplant components. Accompany Functional Check Pilots and serve as In-Flight Maintenance Observer/Troubleshooter.

* Read and interpret manufacturer maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.

* Performed duties including aircraft fuel servicing.

* Drain flush engines oil system, gearboxes and transmission.

* Accomplish aircraft wash, corrosion control inspection and lube all moving parts.

* Performed adjustments on bleed valves, fuel controls, and governors on maintenance turns in the field.

* Removed and replaced main transmissions gearboxes, hub and blade replacement and accomplish complete flight control rigging.

* Performed hub and blade balancing. Made adjustments on tail rotor blades and main rotor blades in the field.

* Performs preflight, thru flight, and post flight inspections. Monitor progress of work being performed. Coordinated with supervision and Quality Assurance to resolve questions concerning serviceability and/or repair procedures. Oversees installation of equipment for special missions. Clears Red X status symbols on aircraft forms for work performed by others. Worked closely with maintenance supervisor and production control to report up to date aircraft status. Performed off site inspections of hard landings and overtorques.

* Launch and recover aircraft in accordance with specific guidelines. Perform fueling operations using gravity fill and closed circuit refueling methods. Perform aircraft inspections in accordance with published criteria.

* Knowledgeable on use of maintenance manual and work instructions.

* Have HAZMAT certification.

* 1984-1985 completed Alabama Aviation Technical College
