After completion of Construction a selected crew was selected to assist the mine with the start -up
process.I was chosen as the head supervisor managing the refinery of the plant which consist of
the ETP Plant,Leach Plant,Beltfilters.Conveyor systems,Acid Plant,Boilerhouse and the Compressed
air plant.The start-up was very problematical,but through my planning abilities i was always ahead
of any problems.Senior management always called on my services,cause i had a repition of getting
instruction and done it very well.I had 2 foremans and a crew of 27 dedicated artisans of all
discipline which was chosen bymyself to take on the tasks and done it right the first time.Safety
was priority and communication was carried over to my team on every shift

I was appointed as the Senior Supervisor 2ic(Second in command) of the complete site.My role was
to oversee the Major contractors final completion and Commisioning of there areas of

myself.
I attended major meetings of concern and done walkabouts before handing over to the clients.i was
responsible for signing there requisitions of work done.I played the role of project manager to assist

I was responsible for 4 Foremans and 40 artisans. Handling the teams timesheets,Working progress
and problems.Attending meetings.Responsibile for each one safety.make sure that the correct
safety procedures according to company policies has been carried over.Walkabout with the client
onsite for completion work and extras.
Make sure that the right safety procedures has been adhere to to work on elevated scaffolding
positions.Alocation of correct spool pieces according drawings and P&Id.issuing of correct material

appointed to me.handouts the priority drawings to workforce.Determine workforce
requirements. Schedules work to be performed and reviews work accomplished by each artisan.
Monitors work activities and ensures the quality of work performed.Make sure that the latest
revisions has been issued to the workforce.
Preparing reports and forecast,and make summaries of construction progress and progress of
Artisans.I was also montoring site activities and insure that artisans has correct tools to be
productive

Appointed as Piping Supervisor on The ACN Plant on Sasol.The plant was dismantle in Austria and
erect at the sasol plant.We were responsible for the correct installing according each numbered
spool pieces.All budd wellds had to be cut and reweld with the nessarry NDT MPI testing.
I had one Foreman and 13 Artians.Issuing the correct drawings for the specific spool.Numbered
butts to be redone as indicated by drawing.Handling material issuing,ordering and handle
timesheets.Be responsible for my team safety.Having Safety talk before each shift.Attending

CHECKING FOR MISSALLINE ON PIPES. CHECK FOR PREHEATING ON CERTAIN
MEDIUMS. WORKING WITH FIELD ENGINEER DOING THE NDC CLEARANCE
ON THE LINES WHICH ARE FINISHED ON SITE. REQUESTING FOR X-RAYS
BEFORE AND AFTER STRESSING ON 100% LINES. CHECK FOR ANY FAILURES.
IF SO THE WHOLE PROCESS MUST BE DONE ALL OVER AGAIN. IF THE MEDIUM
ASKS FOR 5% OR 20% NO STRESSING IS REQUIRED. BUT ANY FAILURE ON
THESE BUTTS TO BACK UP
SHOTS HAVE TO BE X-RAY AGAIN TO SEE IF THE LINES IS PASSABLE. PT OR
MPI MUST BE REQUESTED ACCORDING THE MEDIUM AND LASTLY ON LINES
WHICH HAD BEEN STRESSED MOSTLY 100% LINES HAVE TO BE BRINELL HARD-NESS
BEFORE THE LINES IS SOLD TO THE CLIENT A PRE HYDRO PUNCH HAS TO BE
DONE TO SEE IF THE CERTAIN LINE HAS BEEN BUILD ACCORDING TO ISOMETRIC
AND TO SEE ALL THE NUMBERED BUTTS HAS BEEN NDE CLEARED.IF ANY PUNCH
ITEMS, IT MUST BE SEND BACK TO THE FIELD FOR FIXING.
