Site surveys – documenting of available space based on RBS/Node
requirements, assessment of telecom connectivity (T1 to T3) to include
Ethernet demarcation points, review of cross-connect panels, power
requirements, antenna requirements, and overall access restrictions to
the site, and photographing same.
Logistics – inventory and assessment of OEM and third-party vendor
equipment, pick up and delivery to destination, and asset tracking of
same.
Circuit acceptance – circuit testing and labeling of same to insure
proper connectivity for RBS/Node equipment. Experienced in all of the
following areas: TCP/IP, DSL, T1, T3, Frame Relay, Cellular Data
Communication, ATM, ISDN, DNS, DHCP, RIP, EIGRP, OSPF and BGP.
Cell site problems and troubleshooting – responsible for call-out on
equipment failures/repairs and responsible for troubleshooting equipment
to include both circuit connections and antenna system connections,
along with standard RBS/NodeB and LTE hardware. Responsible for
handling the logistics of “return for repair” equipment to insure asset
tracking occurs appropriately.
Equipment installation – responsible for supervising subcontractor
staff, during the installation phase of project implementation.
Responsible for assisting in the training of new and/or less-experienced
field staff on OEM and third-party equipment. Responsible for insuring
that equipment installations occur in both a safe manner and to
meet/exceed customer’s quality & schedule expectations.
Equipment Commissioning – responsible for test and commissioning of
equipment after installation is complete and power is applied.
Responsible for documenting all phases of the testing/commissioning
process.
Communications – responsible for providing daily status reporting and
weekly summary reports to Project Management and to customer
representatives when necessary, regarding the logistics, installation
and implementation of the project.
Safety – responsible for monitoring field staff on projects that I am
working on to insure that they are operating safely, that they are using
the appropriate/required personal safety gear, and to insure that all
resources involved in the implementation of the project function
together as a safe and solid unit. Responsible for documenting any
safety issues observed.
Auditing’s – responsible for insuring that cell sites are prepared for
internal and external quality audits, that all connections are mated
appropriately, that all labeling is completed as required. Responsible
for following up on any actions items discovered during the quality
audit and for audit completion reports. Responsible for direct
interface with Quality Auditors.
Cell site build outs– have been in charge of construction phase of the
site build process for many years, from an empty slab to a completed and
integrated cell site, and done a lot of cleanup and QA processing as
