Objective: Use powder process to decrease the content of rare-earth (Dysprosium) in magnetic material.
Use hardness tester.
Use Scanning Electron Microscopy and Optical Microscopy to analysis grain size, grain boundary and
microstructure.
Use Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM, FESEM) to do Fracture Analysis.
Use vacuum furnace and normal furnace to do Heat Treatment.
Use hot press machine to do Forging.
Use melt spinning and Arc melt to do Casting.
Decrease cost in industry. Dysprosium is expensive and limited supply.
Present results weekly to GM Company. Keep process confidentiality. Work in a team.
Work over 10 hours every day. Finish all the PhD level classes and experiments in 3 years.
Work hard and have several findings during research, get salary raise.

Work in the only Construction Center in the city with 905,000 people. Attend over 50 projects. All of
them is about construction materials testing (include reinforcing steel). Get seven inspection certifications
in 2.5 years. Got the most certifications in such short time in this company.
