Sempra Energy related to the company’s benefit plans that have been elevated from the carriers. Composing
and preparing written correspondence and performing necessary research to solve issues with inquiries. Also
responsible for new hire orientations, COBRA input on carrier’s website, upkeep of benefit files, beneficiary
forms and departmental timekeeping.
Retirement Benefits Coordinator 4/2006 – 1/2008
Guided all Sempra companies’ employees through the retirement process, communicated daily with outside
vendor to coordinate retirement package and timelines, assure all paperwork was complete by vendor and
employee and delivered on time. Designed retirement packages, scheduled retirement seminars, designed and
created presentations and handouts, conducted the retirement benefits portion in several seminars, met with
employees and spouses to instruct on retirement process when requested, created and wrote instructional
guide for ADP to follow on completing retirement process and trained customer service reps during
outsourcing of retirement and benefits.
