Provide financial leadership for a $90 million material handling service
provider in a family owned midsize Canadian controlled Private
Corporation. Provided direction for a network of 16 branches in Ontario
and Quebec in the aftermarket segment of the business that includes parts,
service, rentals and maintenance.
Key Achievements:
> Redefine organizational structure in the finance department as part
of a total reorganization mandate of the company.
> Changed the process for looking at unbilled hours in the service
department in an effort to increase efficiencies. The effect was to
increase billed hours from 80% to 83% representing approximately a
half million more in revenue.
> Instituted US currency purchases process change away from a deal by
deal basis to a company needs basis. The effect was to average lower
cost conversion of purchases, thereby saving F/X cost and to
increase margins.
> Initiate Inventory turn management mandate to increase turns from 4
turns to 4.5 turns.
> Secured a line of credit at a US facility to enhance floor plan
coverage. Line was worth $1 million to be used for a US Supplier.
Premier Peterbilt Inc., Brampton ON March 2002-

Corporate Controller
Provide financial leadership for $100 million dollar dealership of class 8
and class 7 trucks through 4 branches in a family owned midsize Canadian
controlled Private Corporation. Departmental Leadership was given to
Sales, Parts, and Service and provided direction for 5 direct reports in
Finance.
Key Achievements:
> Implemented a forecasting system that incorporates the use of
Actual, Budget and Forecasting information to be used on a monthly
basis for departmental managers.
> Instituted credit and collection procedures to ensure cash flow and
to minimize bad debts to below 1% and maintain past dues over 60 and
90 days to 10% or less.
> Instrumental in creating a 4-year business plan for bank purposes to
aid expansion of the company to a 4th branch.
> Implemented a process change for the service department to report
correctly the proficiency of mechanics time. Result was to increase
billed hours to increase revenue.
> Participated with senior management team responsible for all aspects
of the corporation.

> Liased with the other teams (Service, purchasing, Sales) to ensure
the financials were correct.

2000
Promoted to Corporate accountant from the Division. Responsible for
Consolidations of the entire company as well as the corporate books. Total
revenues were in excess of $1 Billion.
Key Achievements:
> Converted corporate books to ACCPAC system.
> Helped source Hyperion as the consolidation package of choice to
move forward with
> Trained Analysts on consolidations using Comshare FDC.

1998
Provide financial expertise to the Central Division of the heavy equipment
arm of Wajax. Central region was a $130 million segment of a $1 billion
publicly traded corporation. Central region specialized in material
handling and forestry equipment.
Key Achievements:
> Aided in securing 4 acquisitions worth approximately $50 million in
increased revenue.
> Implemented a database system used for consolidation purposes, Used
Comshare FDC consolidation package. Sourced Hyperion to convert to.
> Revamped purchasing procedures for 130 truck fleet and lowered costs
by 10%.
> Responsible for installing new security controls to prevent thefts
totaling approximately $1 Million.
