[6-2018-Present] ACNP with Housecalls Division of United Health Group.
I see members in their home and do specific assessments and review medications as well as update their diagnosis history, I discuss recommended immunizations as well as screenings. If applicable I can leave the FOBT kits, draw blood for Hgb A-1C and if ordered perform the Quantaflow test to evaluate for PAD.
I also look at the social and economical situation and do referrals as needed.

I take call on the weekend for a cardiologist doing call. I also work a few hours per week at the office. I do physical exams, assessment, review labs and write orders as needed. I update the physician on any patient with concerns.

I worked in the office doing Stress tests, Tilt table testing, getting patients ready to
see the physician and also called in prescriptions under physician’s direction and
notified patients of lab and test results. In the office I ordered supplies and also
reviewed and printed the holter monitors. I visited the hospital patients and did the
history and brief physical and tried to trouble shoot needs and anything that needed
orders contacted the physician.
1985-1995 [NEARMC} I worked PRN while attending GSCC working toward my ADN. I worked Medical Surgical, ICU and Oncology during
that time first as an LPN and later as RN in 1987.
1983-1985 [Gary M. Ray M.D.} I worked for this Pediatrician as an office nurse.
I triaged patients to get them ready to see physician, gave injections,
did allergy test, throat cultures, called in meds, assisted in front office
when needed. I ordered supplies and kept the rooms stocked.
1979-1983 [NEARMC] Obstetrics- I worked as an LPN on the OB unit where I
worked the post-partum unit, NBN and scrubbed for delivers for
vaginal as well as caesarean sections. I also worked the recovery room.
I cleaned and sterilized the instruments getting them ready for next use.

PUBLICATIONS AND PRESENTATIONS
[2008] Rapid Response Decreasing in House Codes
2001- Present Becoming an Outdoor Woman- Beyond Band-Aids. In this class teach safety and first aid as it relates to potential problems that occur in the outdoors. I use scenarios after the class is given to assess the students understanding.
1990- 2015 Alabama Hunter Education Instructor I teach the safety aspects of safe hunting in the field and classroom as a volunteer for the State hunter education.
ACTIVITIES AND HONORS:
Active in my local church as Sunday school teacher, Children’s Club teacher, assist with the nursery and have been in the choir and orchestra.
1999 Assisted a missionary to Romania in acquiring medical donations to set up a Christian Clinic in Romania. I have traveled to Romania 2 additional times to check on this work and help the people understand how to utilize the diagnostic equipment as well as assisted them in bringing medicine and other needed supplies.

2004 Alabama Wildlife Federation Hunter Education Instructor of the Year
2007 Mission Trip to Jamaica and worked with local physicians as well as a team from the US to assist with medical, dental and vision care. In addition, we were able to share God’s love with the people that we worked with.
2009 Mission trip to Ecuador to work with our team physicians and NP to care for the needs of the people, physically, spiritually and financially.
