Machine Learning App (Object Recognition)

Technologies: Swift 4, Xcode, Core ML tools.

Description: This app uses the camera to perform object recognition. App uses the iOS machine learning modules to perform a best guess of what the object is.

● App collects data on previously seen objects to increase the accuracy of the learning algorithm.

● Integrated app with camera and photo gallery to allow users to manually add images to train the machine learning algorithm

● Saves new patterns for the objects to make the detection more accurate.

Lambton College Transit App

Technologies: MySQL, HTML/CSS/Javascript, PHP, XAMPP, Twilio API, Google Maps API. Description: Developed a web app to enable college students to view the real-time schedule of college shuttle buses. Students can pre-purchase tickets, view seat availability, and receive real time notification of schedule changes. for them to see the real-time bus schedule and timings for the next available college bus. Students can also book tickets using a QR code. 2

● Developed a password protected admin panel that enables college administrators to add, remove, and change bus schedules and seat availability in real time

● Built a mobile-responsive web interface that lets customers view the number of minutes until the next bus arrives or departs.

● API Integration: Created real-time SMS notifications using the Twilio API; and, mapping and bus stop location information using Google APIs

● Added a feature for users to keep notes on their location and/or describe their trip and experiences for others to see.
