Security Guard September 2016- present
Working in one of the building of Canada’s House of Commons serving clients in both English and French;
executed the post orders delegated by Iron Horse with diligence and assertiveness;
communicated with tenants and visitors over maintenance emergencies and other concerns with politeness and patience;
patrolled the building floors to ensure the safety of premises and tenants while responding to particular situations such as trespassing, health emergencies or brawls;
was responsible for locking or unlocking the doors of important units in governments' buildings and returning the keys to the apposite government authorities;
completed shift reports with particular focus on details over the state of the security in the building, the discharge of my duties and particular events;
responsible for keeping the records including the orderly storing of Security Guard reports, access logs as well as the duly completion of parcel logs;
used the computer (the Excel program) to register buildings' visitors for parking spaces, the acceptance and distribution of mail and parcels as well as other bookings.
