Facilitating regular meetings regarding PTW issues including mediation among the permit holders, issuing authorities and safety officer
Coordinating day-to-day activities of the PTW system and ensuring that the completed permits are documented and filed.
Acting as a focal point for the permit to work audit processes.
Support Project management in achieving HSE goals as set for the project
Conduct regular safety audits and inspection of facilities, worksite, equipment, work practices, and safety devices to ensure compliance with required workplace safety standards, regulations and company policies.
Responsible for monitoring and assessing hazardous and unsafe situations and develop measures to assure personal safety.
Advice on a range of specialist areas such as fire regulations, hazardous substances, confined spaces, noise, safeguarding machinery.
Manage and organize the safe disposal of hazardous substances, eg Asbestos
Keep up-to-date with new legislation and maintain a working knowledge of all Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and any development that affect the employer industry.
Establish the guidelines for a safety program and helps the employer implement the policy, including implementing safety procedures and instructing employees on how to assess certain hazards
Conduct accidents and or incidents investigation of injury or property damage at worksite to ascertain cause and need for corrective action; develop and implement measures and strategies to prevent recurrence in order to meet long-range loss-reduction goals.
