Personnel Director Assistant, Western Washington University September 2018 – June 2019 This is a human resources position that acts as a major source of communication to the entirety of the staff for purposes such as reminders and providing information that the employees need in order to be successful in their work environment. Duties include tracking time sheets, planning events, facilitating staff trainings, managing a publicly allocated budget, acting as a liaison for committees, handling grievances, assisting new hires, and overseeing annual staff hiring processes. Conference Services Assistant, Western Washington University June 2018 – September 2018 This position was for the summer quarter term at Western Washington University. Tasked to facilitate a variety of conferences for the Guest Housing department. Department cycled through 8,000 guests throughout the summer that stayed at WWU for sports, clubs, conventions, and various other events. Duties required both collaborative and independent work with a diverse range of student and professional staff on numerous tasks such as providing required materials to them, organize housing, serve on a rotating 24 hour on-call shift including acting as overnight counselors, and provide them with a variety of resources to assist them with their stay at WWU. Resident Advisor, Western Washington University September 2016 – June 2018 This position provided training on crisis response, suicide prevention, and inclusivity. Over the course of a school year the role required navigation between being a peer and a mentor in the residence halls for 50+ first-year college students. This position required consistent communication, frequent event planning, and outreach to diverse identities. Additional duties required participation within committees with different university departments, offices, and student clubs. This peer mentor job required excellent communication skills in order to build community and address individual’s needs.
