• Own and manage energy consulting engineering company with specialties in energy de- regulation, energy conservation, electrical co-generation, heat recovery systems, aggregation, and industrial process control for both analog and discrete applications.
• Oversee all aspects of operations including initial sales, conceptual design and financial return on equity, negotiations for off take agreements, negotiations for supply agreements for fuels and commodities, and negotiations with suppliers of hardware and services with the appropriate system guarantees.
• Managed construction, implementation, and maintenance for new and ongoing systems operation, created and managed all project contracts, handled the installation of interconnection to the electrical grid, all licensing for the electrical interconnection and applications for grid sales and distribution, implementation of industrial processes, and construction services.
• Industries served: Semiconductor, pulp and paper, converting, tobacco, news media, medical distribution, chemical, rubber, tires and utilities, automotive manufacturing, food preparations, hospitals, higher education, municipalities’ water & waste applications, dairies, and special projects for the government.
• Key Projects:
• 10 LFG to electricity and thermal plants in Yerevan, Armenia which allowed for the shutdown of an ailing nuclear power plant. Consultant to the Armenian government for alternative energy systems.
• Currently working with several South African government countries to develop the first waste to energy projects for their Municipal Solid Waste. This project will great 180 new landfill jobs, reduce pollutants, and create power-grid stability.
• Developed the standard approach to recapturing the waste heat from the “Heat of Compression” for Atlas Copco’s compressors which offsets preheated boiler feed water cost.
• Complete concept, design, and permitting details for the combining Heat and Power for BASF in Suffolk, VA. This project will save BASF over $15 million over the next 10 years.
• Combined Heat and Power for Rhodia Chemical which will save over $4 million dollars over the next 10 years.
• Reduced pollutants and conserved energy by developing a biomass energy system, for several sewer and bio-mass anaerobic digestion systems. Evantage, Retail Sales and Marketing Division of Dominion VAPOWER Director of Heavy Industry Sales 1996-1999
• Responsible for all aspects of sales, including new installation, retrofits, performance contraction, energy commodity sales, with “Puts, Calls and Arbitrage products”.
• In charge of all project management, project engineering, contract negotiation, obtaining customer documentation, estimating and proposal presentations.
• Created strategic marketing/sales plans for the heavy industrial and transportation sector
(trains, boats, planes, ships, machine and hardware manufacturing,) including all aspects involving energy, steam,electricity, and the financial services involving each entity.
• Sold over $27 million dollars in long-term project contracts, nationally over the first year.
• Several Solar sites for industrial applications
• Sold construction management for a new construction project to a major Tennessee airport. This included: HVAC, environmental controls, energy management services, and electricity cooling and heat retrofit.
