Analyzed the company’s production data to eliminate the non-value added steps in the process.
Reduced production time by 70% by proposing long and short-term solutions.
The team was well commended for using lean to propose not only long-term and immediate solutions.
Redesign a Toy Gun, Ryerson University Jan. 2017 – Apr. 2017
Led a team of 4 members in the redesign of a toy gun to make it more efficient to manufacture and assemble, using Boothroyd Dewhurst DFMA software.
Reduced the manufacturing costs from $3.74 to $1.62 per piece; received an A+ and was recognized for performing one of the best redesigns.
Design a Jig, Ryerson University Jan. 2018 – Mar. 2018
Led a team of four in designing a jig with appropriate locating devices, clamping systems, and drill bushings.
Created a SolidWorks assembly showing how the part will be located and clamped in the jig, including individual sets of drawings for all designed parts and an assembly drawing completed with BOM.
Received an A in the design and was recognized as one of the most usable and manufacturable products.
