RESEARCH EXPERIENCE

My PhD thesis was framed to evaluate the learning and memory boosting potential of certain herbal extracts and Rotatory Vestibular Stimulation separately and certain plant extract along with Rotatory vestibular stimulation also by behavioral, Neuromorphological (dendritic arborization of hippocampal CA3 pyramidal neurons using Sholl analysis method) and biochemical (activity of AChE by Ellman et al method) studies. I came up with the results that, Rotatory vestibular stimulation alone and herbal extracts alone are effective in learning and memory. Combined Rotatory vestibular stimulation and herbal extract is also effective in learning and memory as well as in increasing the dendritic arborization. Learning and memory can be boost up by sustaining or increasing the level of acetylcholine by inhibiting the activity of acetylcholinesterase enzyme.

Additionally, my M. Phil and MSc thesis study was to conduct research in evaluating the suitability of sewage water for fish culture by analyzing the physiological and biochemical parameters of different species of fishes cultured in sewage farm water and bioremediation of yarn dyeing effluents using Pseudomonas strains of bacteria respectively.
