Provides financial support for plant site with 240 staff, $44M inventory value and $90M annual sales revenue. Performs monthly / yearly evaluation of standard cost and inventory movement and monthly analysis of operations labor efficiency / productivity. Serves as liaison between plant management, corporate finance and executive management.

Instituted company policy changes and approved policy changes in inventory management, cycle count procedures, standard cost, and engineering change orders. This included increasing fixed asset (FA) limit to $5K and setting cycle count threshold at $1K, or 10% of total, regarding cycle count discrepancies, resulting in faster month-end close process.

Prepared automated budget templates for all operations cost centers and trained department managers on use of templates that significantly decreased month-end processing time.

Monitored expenditures for 10 direct cost centers and rebooked erroneous charges including $124K temporary help charges, $500K labor and associated expenses and $1M erroneous late charges.

Developed method of tracking capacity and labor absorption by department and work center that led to router and BOM changes resulting in 19% improved labor efficiency for Gaithersburg plant.

Validated standard cost and inventory revaluation, amortizing effects of revaluation over 3 – 5-month period depending on percent of increase / decrease to offset impact to monthly P&L statement.
