Mini Project:

Title : Home Automation System Using SMS.

Description : Home automation system is basically a system in which one can control the

home appliances such as lights, fans etc remotely, using the GSM based phone, just by sending

SMS through his/her phone. To reduce human efforts and wastage of electricity home

automation system is required.

Mega Project:

Title : Public Ration Distribution Using Bio-Metrics.

Description : India's Public Distribution System (PDS) is the biggest retail system based on Ration Card. Public distribution system gives a ration card issued under a request or expert of the State Government for buying the fundamental materials like rice, wheat, sugar and oil, etc. All the required individuals who are having ration card can purchase different materials from the ration shop in lesser rates than from different shops. However, this public distribution system faces two disadvantages:- first the businessperson who weighted the material can mislead the purchaser by not weighing the materials by their actual weights. Second is if the material isn't purchased towards the end of the month they will sell it to others without authorization of the administration. To prevent these disadvantages, we propose a biometric fingerprint system enabling security in ration cards so it will get straightforwardness to the public distribution system.
