PROJECT EXPERIENCE

(Tools Used: KeySight ADS, Momentum (MoM) and Matlab; Testing: VNA, SA, VSG, VSA.

Low Noise Amplifier Design (MAY 2018 – JULY 2018)

Simulated an LNA using keysight ADS and Modelithics library at 1.9GHz center frequency for 20% bandwidth, achieved gain of 14.5db and noise of 1.88,input return loss of 10.7db,output return loss of 47.3d ( with Infineon BJT transistor) .

Coupled Line Band Pass Filter Design (AUG 2017 – DEC 2017)

Design of BPF using Microstrip coupled lines on FR4 substrate at 2.1 GHz for the highest figure of merit (FOM). EM simulation using MoM of Keysight ADS was performed before fabrication. FOM of 12.30 was obtained from the measurement.

Matching Network Design (AUG 2017 – DEC 2017)

Design of Matching Network using Keysight ADS to match a RLC load to a 50 Ohms and achieved maximum 10 dB return loss. Bandwidth 55% of 10 dB return loss was acquired from the measurement. Simulated and Measured data were compared.

Low Pass Filters Design (AUG 2017 – DEC 2017)

Design of Low pass filters, one with the discrete elements (Inductors and Capacitors, 3dB frequencies at 1.6 GHz) and other one with the transmission lines working as the inductor and capacitor. Simulated and Measured data were compared.

FM Spectrum Scanning (MAR 2017– APR 2017)

Scanned entire FM spectrum for empty space, written MATLAB code to transmit and receive over those empty space. Transmitted message as and when white spaces were available, using VSA AND VSG. Matlab code was used to control.

Synchronizing transmitter and receiver to extract message from BPSK modulated signal (JAN-2017)

A BPSK modulated signal was transmitted via VSG was captured using VSA. Project was to write MATLAB code to demodulate transmitted signal and extract message out the signal. Synchronizing receiver and transmitter and also estimating and equalizing effect of channel, to reduce error in the decoded message.

Interfacing PIC18F4550 (NOV 2016 – DEC 2016)

Developed driver to interface PIC18F4550 microcontroller with LABVIEW software via USB. Potentiometer was connected to controller, changes made on the potentiometer was made visible on LABVIEW output graph.
