At GIFS I have served as a Chief Inspector on pipeline and facility construction projects in the natural gas industry. As a Chief Inspector my role was as follows:

Verify contractor workers Operator Qualifications, OQ’s, and track their daily activities

Verify and implement pipeline test plans

Monitor and document Non Destructive Testing of welds.

At EMS my position was to provide technical support for construction activities within the natural gas pipeline industry. The technical support provided included: project management, development of pipeline blow down and purge plans, equipment crossing load calculations, evaluate and/or develop pipeline test plans, determine potential pipeline routes and develop scopes of work for proposed projects.

COLUMBIA GAS TRANSMISSION, Catlettsburg, KY 1987 – April 2009

Field Engineering Technician

At Columbia Gas Transmission my position was to provide the technical support necessary for the safe and reliable operation of the natural gas pipeline system. Assure adherence to applicable Federal Regulations. The technical support provided included: evaluation of corroded segments of pipe, pipeline blow down and purge plans, equipment crossing load calculations, pipeline test plans, development of projects for capital construction program and analyze blasting effects on pipeline.

* Designed a device to be installed on the exhaust stack of a dehydration unit to capture liquids without impeding the exhaust flow in the event of an upset in the system. Device performed as designed preventing potential environmental issues.

*-Successfully coordinated PCB air system remediation projects at several compressor stations. Coordinated the efforts of the environmental contractor and the local operations personnel to keep down time of the station at a minimum.

*-Provided pipeline construction field inspection. Served as chief inspector, resident engineer, or environmental inspector on numerous projects. Pipeline installations met federal guidelines and passed Federal Energy Regulatory Commission inspections.

* Received award from WV Department of Agriculture for right of way reclamation.

* Designed a containment structure for liquids storage at compressor station, resulting in structure successfully preventing potential environmental issues: coordinated efforts of general contractor and company construction personnel.

* Participated on a PCB remediation demonstration team. Team demonstrated procedures to US EPA representatives as part of permit application process. Permit was approved and enabled company to utilize company personnel in its PCB remediation efforts.

* Designed effective coal tar residue disposal system. Disposal of coal tar residue prior to development of the system was inefficient.

Maintained mapping system. Assisted surveyors in developing new pipeline routes.

IRONTON COKE CORP, Ironton, OH 1977 - 1981

Design Draftsman

Provide technical support for the plant engineering staff and maintenance personnel.

* Prepared design drawings for modifications to a coke crusher that was prematurely failing as a result of abrasion. Modifications enabled individual abrasive resistant plates to be replaced with minimal down time.

* Prepared detailed construction drawings and facilitated construction of a modernized coke test laboratory. Original laboratory was antiquated and did not provide consistent results.

* Developed a system to spray a calcium chloride solution on coke prior to loading into rail car; resulted in preventing coke from freezing in rail car during winter operations.
