Employment History

Currently Working in Directorate of Medical Technologies (DMT), Ministry of Health, OMAN in Contract with Oman National Engineering & Investment Company(ONEIC)as a Biomedical Engineer from November’ 19th 2014 till date.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Tender works – Providing relevant details of the equipment to be replaced/upgrade, assisting superiors in selection of equipment accordingly by studying features, offers and attending demo of the equipment.

Replacement and Upgrading of Medical Equipment – Collecting the list of equipment needed, Condemnation certificate of the equipment from various hospitals and health center, and Preparing the list of Equipment’s which needs replacement against condemnation/planned replacement / upgradation. Reporting to the superiors to start the process, Creating a project accordingly, once the Project is approved, preparing the tender, then coordinate with suppliers to submit the offers for the Equipment under the tender. After receiving them studying and then assisting End users and DMT Superiors for the selection. Completing the whole tender documents, following the guidelines for the issue of the LPO and assisting Hospital/Biomedical Engineer in pre-installation according to the requirement submitted by the supplier, taking care of delivery and installation of equipment on time.

Maintenance and servicing of medical equipment’s Under Minsitry of Health Blood Bank, Renal Dialysis unit, Public Health Laboratory, and Quality Control Lab.

Invoice Verification for the maintenance contract equipment’s as well as for supply / replacement / dismantling, shifting & installation of various medical equipment submitted by the suppliers. To check the PPM service reports as per clauses mentioned in the maintenance agreement. To check whether PPM service has been carried out as per the schedule.

Maintenance Contract study and recommendation – To prepare specifications for the equipment’s which needs to bring under maintenance contract, studying of proposals for a new, addition, deletion and addendum contract, comparative study analysis with Life Cycle Cost (cost of maintenance) to the capital cost of the equipment and average annual percentage cost of maintenance to the capital cost.

Furnishing and commissioning of Ambulances with medical equipment’s for various ministry health centres and hospitals.

Inspection of Medical equipment at polyclinics, health centers, laboratories, hospitals and supplier’s warehouses.
