Recent graduate from the UGA Franklin College of Arts and Science in Statistics with a certificate in Applied Data Science. Experienced with inspecting, cleansing, transforming, and modeling data using R, SAS, and SQL. Hardworking, detail-oriented, and goal-driven, I am eager to widen my skill-sets and knowledge of data analysis and statistics with the goal of discovering useful information, informing conclusions and supporting decision-making.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
Greenhouse Light Intensity Statistical Analysis (STAT 5020) (August 2018 – May 2019)
Worked with UGA horticulture professor Dr. Marc van Iersel in evaluating the extent at which the number of days in a year with sufficient light intensity for greenhouse agriculture varies between years at different sites in the United States.
The dataset provides several measurements related to the solar radiation, barometric pressure and air mass. We are interested in the isolated PAR values at each site.
Using SAS, applied time series methods to the data, analyzing the mean monthly daily light integrals for each study site. Looking to discover seasonal trends and the presence of variability among years, seasonal decomposition methods was chosen for analysis. By creating a function which chose the best method depending on forecasting strength, forecasts were plotted for upcoming years.
Time series analysis indicates that PAR variation is seasonal but not subject to long-term increases or decreases. Historical PAR values can be reasonably used to estimate future levels, although climate change may alter patterns of cloud cover systematically in the long term.
