03/2016- North East Methodist- I participated in educating employees about the effects of hourly rounding on patient satisfaction. This was necessary because quarterly reports on patient satisfaction failed to reveal improvement suggesting that hourly rounding was not effectively implemented. The education team reiterated the need for implementing new initiatives to improve overall patient satisfaction. Results indicated that call lights were answered timely, falls were prevented, there was less family hostility, and less patient behaviors. Good relationship was reported between the employees and the patients. Hourly rounding had significant impact when it was effectively implemented.
