Right now working as Diet aide/Diet tech at Sequoias Portola valley for 8 months. I am Graduate student of Food and Nutrition in California State University, Sacramento seeking full-time job opportunities for Diet Tech position. I have Bachelor’s and Master of Science degrees in Food and Nutrition from Calcutta University, India. Has prior teaching, internship and work experience in the field of dietetics.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

Organization: The Sequoias Portola Valley

Designation: Diet Aide/Diet Tech

Responsibilities:- Responsible for the operation of the trayline and implementation of the Nutrition Care Program based on established objectives, standards, policies, and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal regulations.

Assisting in providing quality food and an enjoyable dining experience for residents, guests, and staff. Directly assists with the following: the administration of the Nutrition Care Program as per state and federal guidelines, assuring "inspection ready" status at all times, in monitoring diet orders in health center, apartments and personal care units to assure that food is in compliance with diet orders, administers safety, sanitation, security, and maintenance programs as assigned, responsible for the completion of dietary histories. Disburses menus to residents for future meal requests, organizes menu information for use at trayline, participates in implementation of changes in the Nutrition Care Program, supervises and participates in assembly of trays for tray line service ensuring trays are complete, checks that food temperature is correct, garnished properly and conducted as a smooth operation, performs a variety of clerical duties, handles and resolves complaints according to established guidelines; and reports issues to management as appropriate.
