ALM conventions on liabilities data (NCBDs and CBDs) upstream at the data delivery level. The final set of data will directly feed the ALM system (SUNGARD Ambit Focus).
To define the period for the moving average, we have to look at the file “ALM Conventions Feed Table.xlsx“ which describes the parameter table ALM_FEED_CONVENTION. We will use the value of the field “PARAMETER_VALUE” where the “PARAMETER_LABEL” field is equal to value “NCBD_AVG_MTHS”. We take the parameter values for the given as of date (“ select max(AS_OF_DATE) where AS_OF_DATE<= [Given As Of Date of the run]”). This parameter value corresponds then to the number of months of the observation period. So if it is equal to 3, then it means that we will take the average of all daily snapshots from the last 3 months starting from the given as of date of the data run (creation date).
