Responsibilities Include:
Front-line customer technical interface for program/product: Provide optimized solutions to customer technical issues by balancing manufacturing feasibility, requirements from SMTE, and internal functional groups Support current production issues by root cause identification using Basic Engineering Process (BEP) through FEA, CAD study, trials, product assembly study and testing as required. Generate and update A3s for the same
Lead customer and supplier open issues meetings, top warranty issue meetings and monthly design reviews
Program Development Process:
Release design for the prototype builds and collaborate with the lead engineer and test engineer to plan the build
Carry data management and change management using EPIC (PLM), create & manage BOM and complexity matrix for complete seat
Review and complete Engineering, design and drawing changes, BOM modifications to make sure Change Notices from FCA are implemented correctly
DV and PV execution:

Work on DV test failures (H-point, Seat Contour, BSR, H/R Dimensional, Recliner Handle retention etc.) and provide technical solutions to all performance attributes that were not meeting internal and/or customer requirement
Coordinate product validation and maintain DVP&R
Ensure that DV and PV engineering and test plans are completed and approved by the customer at the appropriate time
Manufacturing and launch support:
Support and participate in prototype and actual builds at JIT plant Intern, 05/2013 to 05/2014

Designed plastic valves to the specifications by the clients and the standard-normative using NX. Consulted with engineering team regarding technical feasibility, offered solutions to problems, and presented results for development of projects.
Documented mechanical designs in preparation for design reviews and prepared assembly instructions. Interfaced with other engineers, fabrication and packaging team members and management. Assessed the manufacturability of assigned parts by DFMEA, DVP&R and resolved related issues, Design and Molding Simulation: Comprehensive design review and mold flow analysis for inner slider of a refillable razor.
