PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Ganesh Industries

Mechanical Engineer (July-2011 – December-2014)

Worked closely with the production manager to ensure that the parts are delivered on time and produced to the customer satisfaction by inspecting the mechanical parts for entrusted quality.

Worked with CAD/CAM tools like Solidworks, Pro Engineer Wildfire 5.0, CATIA

Applied the Lean six sigma concepts like Kaizen, 5s and analysed data using Minitab.

Develop accurate new product estimates. Support quotes with process-time studies.

Managed Quality Assurance and Inspection of the finished products.

Applied the concepts of DMAIC, DMADV, statistical concepts of confidence intervals, Hypothesis testing, Fish Bone Analysis, Chi-Square Analysis, ANOVA, Regression and many more.

Read and interpreted mechanical drawings.

Procurement of mechanical parts, machine supplies and tooling.

Supervised a team of 5.

Beyond the Rack

Logistics Assistant (July-2015 – December-2015)

Analysed the drawback files and verify the purchase orders.

Entered data in the drawback system.

Analysed the taxes, tariffs and duties imposed on the goods against manufacturing costs.

Maintained the vendors-customer’s relationship

Replenished, sorted, packaged and analyzed the inventory.

Project Undertaken voluntarily:

Cause: The employees had been complaining and calling in sick due to musculoskeletal problems. I studied the ill effects of sedentary working conditions, improper ergonomics

and improper workplace design against the health problems.

Result: I proposed a workplace design taking into consideration the ergonomics aspect by designing the office layout, the furniture and spread awareness about the use of Ergonomics in the workplace. I was highly appreciated for my effort.

Waste Process Steam Heat Recovery System

Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (ASQ Certification in Progress)

ACADEMIC / PERSONAL PROJECTS

Design and Analysis of a Mechanical Screw Jack

Designed and modelled the parts and assembly in Catia.

Analysed for fail safe design consideration and performed static structural analysis in Ansys workbench

Design and analysis of 5-cylinder radial engine (Solidworks, ANSYS)

Designed and modelled major parts of 5-cylinder (radially positioned) IC engine such as Master connecting rod, Piston, Bearings etc.

Analysed for fail safe design consideration and performed static structural analysis in Ansys workbench

Tribological Design of a Landing Gear of an airplane

In the overhauling of a landing gear, it contains multiple assemblies whose parts are in motion. The types of wear occurring in those parts because of motion or assembly design or because of the chemical composition of the parts have been discussed. Multiple feasible solutions and recommendations have been suggested to prevent tribological failure

Thermodynamic Analysis of a Turbofan Engine

In the thermodynamic analysis, various factors like the bypass ratio, performance of different stages of compressors, performance of low and high-pressure turbines, operation of the combustion chamber and the nozzle profiles has been taken into consideration

Performance and Flow Analysis of a Scramjet Engine

The working of the SCRAMJET Engine and its deviation in performance from the conventional engine. The different types of inlet in the SCRAMJET Engine affecting its performance. A comparison of the numerical and the flow analysis done on ANSYS has been done.
