During my time with POP I was able to gain experience I needed to work in a fast paced organization with the most marginalized of peoples on Vancouver’s DTES. I took care of all reception duties, as well as handled confidential data entry.

I always had an interest in trades and was excited to be given the opportunity to attend this six month intro to trades course. During this time the six months were spent in, cement finishing, drywall repair, pipe cutting/fitting, and welding.

Activities

I have spent some time out of the workforce taking care of my ailing Mom, as well as being the legal guardian to five children, while parents dealt with hard life issues.

I have spent many years volunteering at my children’s elementary schools. Facilitated arts and crafts at Ray-Cam Community Center. I read and journal, if I have the time, I take care of my five year old Granddaughter. I like swimming, walking and family get togethers.
