PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

RSAF ELTI – Course Developer and Technical Instructor

Kapsuun Group April 2017 – Present

Sheppard AFB, TX

I am a RSAF-ELTI (Royal Saudi Air Force English Language Training Instructor) in a program that supports approximately 200 Royal Saudi Air Force International Military Students (IMS) at the US Air Force's 82nd Training Wing. We provide face-to-face instruction utilizing the United States Government (USG) Defense Language English Center (DLIELC) program of instruction called the American Language Course.

Instruct the RSAF students to successfully attain their qualifying English Comprehension Level (ECL) score to go to follow-on-training, where they will mainstream with American airmen in learning their speciality in maintaining the F-15 SAs which is part of a 29.6 billion Euro-NATO Saudi F15SA Fleet Modernization mission.

Took initiative to develop a test taking skills and strategies class to assist the RSAF students who had insufficient progress and growth on the book quizzes (BQ), American Language Course Placement Test (ALCPT), and the ECL test. Solely devised the curriculum for this class by assessing students' needs and deficiencies and their learning style to improve students' performances, meet their benchmarks, and pass the exams.

Success rate of 96% led to management asking for further development of this program. Thus, I led a committee with 2 additional instructors to supplement my existing curriculum, streamline the material, and address learner deficiencies.

My curriculum consisted of 35 practice exams, ranging 50-100 questions, addressing grammar from beginner to advanced levels, vocabulary from the 30 ALC books, and synonyms (50 handouts dealing with a minimum

of 300 synonyms) and phrasal verbs (47 handouts dealing with the first most popular 500 PVs) connected to the vocabulary.

Additionally, I made materials that addressed more complex issues, which were analyzed and determined from their missed answers on their Book Quizzes, ALCPT, and the ECL. The materials developed were for Transitions, Conditionals, Reading and Main Ideas, Inferences, Contextual Clues, and Listening.
