BT (British Telecom) is one of Europe's leading providers of telecommunications services. In the UK, BT serves over 21 million corporate and residential customers with more than 28 million exchange lines, as well as providing network services to other licensed operators. XANSA (Currently STERIA) is dealing with the Telemarketing services provided by BT, NTS (Number Translation Services). Calls to the NTS (non-geographic) numbers are translated for delivery to geographic numbers. NTS provides a suite of numbers to handle all incoming calls, designed to suit specific business needs.
Control and Report (C&R):
This module of NTS, designed for British Telecom, generates various reports (as Call Volume analysis, Daily Call Volume etc.) based on different criteria. The C&R system processes the BT Telemarketing statistical data, for use within BT and also by its external customers and handles variety of Telemarketing numbers as well as Call stream numbers.
The application is crucial to BT’s Business Telemarketing Services - a high revenue business area worth around £250 -£300 million pounds a year to BT and is therefore essential that external customer reports are accurate and produced on time, to the agreed timescales. As a result of the criticality of these reports, we provide round the clock (24/7) support.

BOOTS
(SFSC)The Store Friendly Supply Chain 2
BOOTS (The Store Friendly Supply Chain 2) The Boots Retail physical supply chain is based around a series of central warehouses and distribution centers (DCs). The DCs act as both regional common stock rooms (CSRs) and cross-docking centers (CDCs) for onward delivery to stores. It has been recognized that this infrastructure is becoming increasingly dilapidated and has a high operating cost due to its distributed nature and its reliance on manual processes.
The Store Friendly Supply Chain 2 (SFSC2) Programme has been initiated to implement a revised physical supply chain and associated processes and systems, based on consolidation and automation of the central warehouses, the removal of stock holding at DCs and the rationalization and relocation of DCs. The Store Friendly Supply Chain 2 (SFSC2) Programme has identified changes to the physical supply chain operation for BTC. The business requirements generated from this initiative will lead to substantial change from a physical infrastructure, systems, processes and people perspective. The supply chain has not undertaken changes of this magnitude since the implementation of the DALLAS controlled warehouse in the early 1990’s. System changes since then have been restricted to developments and enhancements to existing applications and not replacement.
