Responsibilities include vendor management, contract & directive writing, field acceptance testing, budget management, proposal development, negotiations support, implementation around the world, vendor visits, audits for functionality and quality, manage cost, and schedule requirements. Team performs diverse mechanical designs, creates AutoCAD and Solid Works drawings, controls programming and supervision of third party designs and implementations. For a typical design the team selects materials, calculates forces, performs free body diagrams and plans tests to ensure equipment durability. Responsible for 3 projects of $100M+ each.

Intel Corporation June 1997 – May 2018

Manager & Technical Lead March 2012 – May 2018

During the last 5 years started a new engineering department growing it to 70+ engineers. Implemented aggressive hiring plans, training plans and goals for a team of diver engineering disciplines including electronics, software development, data analysis, and lab debug. Tasks including, but not limited to multiple projects at the same time, program roadmaps, resource needs, stakeholder management, monitoring progress, budget forecast, manage cross project

dependencies, customer requirements, strategic planning, risk assessment, mitigation plans, project schedule, performance indicators, critical path management, vendor management, etc. Implemented Scrum/Agile for all the engineering department including 10 scrum teams. The team performed systems engineering work for complex electronic products for autonomous driving, testing systems, tablets, and communication devices. Team also designed circuits for ASIC, FPGA, high speed interface, and tablets. A small part of the team also developed engineering software. Personally, designed many of the analog/digital circuits, circuit simulation, managed projects and coached others. Designs implemented design for testability and manufacturing.

Tech lead & Project Manager June 2008 - March 2012 Austin, TX.

Analog/digital circuit designer and project lead for complex high-speed electronic designs. Also performed data and statistical analyses for yield, power and speed improvements; performed circuit debug, audited designs overseas, generated training material, and coached other engineers. All designs included design for test/manufacturing and working closely with the factories for yield improvement planning.

Circuit Designer and Project manager Sep 2001-June 2008 Portland, Oregon.

Project lead for complex analog/digital circuits for major CPU’s (i3,i5,i7). This required managing critical path, stakeholders, simultaneous projects, resources, cost, lab debugging; ran complex data analysis, quality assurance, coaching, etc. As part of a software team defined the spec for a complex engineering software development, testing and deployment.

Systems Engineering & Engineering Lead June 1997-Sep 2001 San Jose, Costa Rica.

Managed a team of 53 multidiscipline engineers and technicians. The team included industrial, mechanical, electronics, software, and electrical engineers. Personally, led multimillion complex systems engineering projects for complex robotic system, a high-speed computing board, a complex testing computer. All designs include DFM/DFA practices and review with industrial engineering teams. Team wrote test programs for integrated circuits, implemented ISO 9000, installed equipment, procured new equipment, visited vendors for equipment acceptance, made changes to the factory equipment, ran complex data analysis, etc. Also, was the project manager for a line of electronic products requiring interfacing horizontally with manufacturing, marketing, design, business operations, test, process engineering, etc. This required communicating with other countries, multiples departments, and disciplines.
