Resume:

Philip Sadighian

I possess two BS degrees in Physics and Chemistry, and while these degrees may indicate I have some basic knowledge of the fields, I believe they more importantly indicate my ability and dedication to learning and solving problems via research and analytical analysis. Both these degrees required significant time in a laboratory setting. While the chemistry lab trained me to be very detail oriented and to careful when following instructions, techniques and protocols, the physics laboratories emphasized analysis and manipulation of data to extract greater meaning. These experiences as well as my time spent in a class room are a testament not so much to my knowledge, but my ability and willingness to learn. I have a significant amount of experience writing in both a technical and non-technical setting during my time as a student. Several of my laboratory classes as well as any independent research I have done required formal lab reports. Additionally, I have elected to take extra literature and writing classes which have given me more experience reading and writing about non-technical subjects. These experiences have also provided me access to and critique from those possessing advanced English degrees.

I am willing to spend extra time and effort to learn and perform the tasks expected of me to the best of my ability. When it comes to my work I personally invest myself in everything and see all my work as a reflection of myself. This frequently drives me to go the extra mile just to satisfy my own needs, rather than the minimum requirement of a task. In addition to my familiarity with writing, I possess strong interpersonal skills and thrive when working as part of a team or collective where I can receive feedback or adapt to meet the needs of others. I operate well under pressure and manage my time to the best of my ability to meet deadlines, and if that necessitates working overtime or travel I have the flexibility.
