Specialty Piping Pipeline Safety Coordinator Al-Khobar, Saudi Arabia 01/15/14- 05/30/14

I flew into Saudi Arabia at the request of this company to oversee a job involving multiple venders conducting a major pipeline job encompassing more than 200 miles of detailed work in Saudi Arabia. Through the joint efforts of contractors from around the world the assignment was an extreme success. No injuries were sustained, and all timelines were met. Assignment concluded successfully.

Citgo Refinery Fire Rebuild Safety Coordinator Lemont Illinois 08/15/13 – 12/20/13 (Citgo Refinery)

This refinery sustained a major fire within the Crude Unit whereby my services were requested. I flew into Chicago 24 hours after the fire to Lead as Safety Coordinator of the” Crude Rebuild of Christmas 2013”. After four months into this project “ Safety has prevailed. “ Final phase installation of equipment is occurring with a scheduled start up occurring in January 2014. No loss time injury has occurred with more than 800 contract personnel on site. New Safety record established through the implementation of new safe work practices. The projection completion goals were totally met through the collective effort of management and the implementation of Safety Standard pursuant to “EM 385 1-1 standards.

Methanex Construction Safety Coordinator Geismar, La. 04/28/13- 07/31/13 (Kinder Morgan)

I worked this construction project supervising the safe preparation of the site for the facility construction. The daily activities consisted of JSA review, and monitoring all activities from start to finish daily. I was responsible for the safety supervision of Beard Construction on a multi acre tract of land. Construction preparation work supervised consisted of excavation and elevation of site for pipeline construction and installation. Additionally I was responsible for training new employees regarding plant safety guidelines, and assuring that all client policies and procedures are adhered to with precision for Beard Construction (Assignment completed on 07/31/13)

TDI Unit Safety Supervisor Phillips 66 Refinery (Borger, TX) 12/07/12- 03/10/13 (Clean Harbors)

I conducted safety supervision and the compliance monitoring of all regulatory activity within in the Thermal Disorbsion Unit of this refinery. Daily monitoring was facilitated to ensure that absolute compliance of all regulatory mandates Review of all employee activity and addressed corrective issues in safety meetings. All JSAs are reviewed and signed by safety. All pre work assessments are conducted by safety. All personal MSA meters are logged and checked by safety. Assignment concluded smoothly. Safety prevailed.

Safety & Compliance Coordinator Holly Frontier (Tulsa, OK) 11/5/12- 11/23/12 (Clean Harbors)

Conducted safety supervision during a major outage at this facility. Multiple confined space jobs were facilitated. Daily JSA reviews were conducted. Tailgate safety meetings conducted prior to the start of each shift. Trained new safety staff about dangers regarding confined space, and welding gas inhalation and precautionary measures. Turn around concluded smoothly.

Pipeline Safety Coordinator CF Chemicals (Donaldsonville, La.) 09/12-10/12 (Industrial Piping)

Supervised the implementation of New Reformer Harp system and welding supportive piping. Maintained safe work while multiphase welding in dangerous conditions prevailed. Supervised confined space welding while ensuring entrant total safety. Trained staff of safety professionals regarding welding safety precautions and LEL chemical reactions when metal is disturbed. Outage was completed without an incident or injury.

Safety Supervisor Phillips 66 Refinery (Wood River, Ill.) 10/12-11/12 (Hydro Chem)

A Major outage was occurring within this facility. I came to this plant because vendor relationship was in jeopardy. Corrective measures were implemented immediately. An entire crew was replaced with precision. Safety protocol of refinery was adhered to completely. Relationship and contract was preserved. Completed assignment well.

Construction Coordinator Sinclair Refinery (Rawlins, WY.) 08/12- 09/12 (Sinclair Refinery)

Trained and conducted confined space entry supervision of fifty or more piping installations during a major plant outage, which included replacement of multiple exchangers and vessels. Maintained daily log of events that transpired during the outage. Used five gases MSA meter daily to confirm the assurance of vessel safeness. Ensured that calibration of meters were correct and up to date. Ensured that all PPE requirements of permits were met with exact scrutiny. I ensured that all employees working within my area knew JSA requirements and that safe work was a must.

Construction Safety Coordinator (Langlough, Penn) 06/12-08/12 (V.I.P. LLC)

Worked as Outage Coordinator during the replacement of three towers and supporting unit structural equipment and pumps. As lead safety person I conducted daily audits to ensure that complete compliance with plant specifics occurred. Insured that major plant turn-around went as expected without a lost time injury. Outage facilitated three tower critical replacement lifts and catalyst change out in multiple towers. Zero injuries resulted and no lost time injuries. Added in the implementation of plant “Total Commitment to Quality” program.

Rescue Tech, Confined Space Entry Sup. Giesmar, La. 05/12- 06/12 (Code Red Safety)

Conducted safety work on behalf of company during outage. Major exchanger replacements and critical lift safety prevailed. Zero injury statistics occurred through extensive safety training and continuous safety monitoring. It was ensured that vendor relationship was enhanced through training and reemphasis on the value of preservation of commitment to excellence through safe work practices.

Construction Safety Coordinator Noumeau, New Caledonia 04/12- 05/12 (V.I.P. LLC)

Departed country on an emergency for V.I.P. project was a complex change out of very expensive equipment. I supervised the reconstruction of a major Sulfuric Acid Plant that was destroyed. Three hundred men worked around the clock for several months to rebuild this facility. Construction activities also included multiple critical lifts as well as the implementation of various multi-phase exchangers and supporting pipe construction. Safety prevailed. Assignment completed without injury.

Turn Around Safety Coordinator Freeport Dow Chemicals, 03/12—04/12 (Hydro Chem)

Major outage at this facility occurred. I supervised the activity of three different crews consisting of fifteen men per crew. Reviewed JSAs daily, conducted all safety meetings, mentor concept of “I am my brother’s keeper” established. Outage concluded without an incident or accident.

Project Safety Tech, Lyondell Basil Chemicals, Houston, TX. 01/12-03/12 (Hydro Chem)

Largest outage ever facilitated by this Houston plant. No lost time injuries occurred to the men and women under my supervision. Multiple units involved in massive outage. Safety prevailed through the outage. New Safety record established.
