28 years professional experience at various levels in civil engineering field out of which 26 years in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia which includes Project Management works for the Desalination Plants Works, Water Waves, infrastructure works, building works for Estimation, QS, planning and cost, providing the forecasted budgeting, checking and verifying the cost submitted by the contractors, checking and verifying the variations, Scheduling, Monitoring & Updating project schedule estimating the project cost, .Having the ability to adapt and work very well as a team in a multinational environment. having an excellent working knowledge of computers, and have a long time experience in using a wide variety of computer software/programs including Primavera (P6), Excel, MS word, AutoCAD & Project Planner etc.

Responsibilities as Cost/Contracts Manager/Engineer in Project Management including estimation works in infrastructure works, building works,– checking the terms and condition based on contracts, checking the specifications, Estimating the project cost, project cost controlling, checking the sub-contractors bills, getting the prices from different suppliers, comparing the prices from different suppliers with the sub-contractors estimated price and according to current market prices, dealing with the client and the consultant, reporting to the manager in charge, contacting the projects managers and site staff for the proper functioning of the projects cost, making aware the higher management the difficulties which come across, preparing the periodic reports for the ongoing projects, Bidding the new project work, having good knowledge of market rates, contacting the suppliers for the latest prices from time to time. Follow the contract general specification, Contract Articles, Government tenders and procurement laws, using the standard method for measurement.

Working As Senior contracts Admin/QS For Parsons Projects 1) Jeddah Prince Fawaz Infrastructure Works, 2) MODON Jeddah 3 Infrastructure, Road Works, Infrastructure works including Bridge works etc.

Responsibilities:

Payment certificates Review :

Evaluation of the payment certificates, arranging the meeting with the contractor, prepare the meeting minutes along with Parson’s comments in coordination with Parson’s higher management staff, Returning those payment certificates which found big errors in comparison to the standard payment procedures at the same time providing the solution by coordinating with the contractor representative, dealing with contractual issues, cost issues, quantities issue etc. coordinating the persons in-charge for the insurance issues, bonds issues whether the bonds are valid to process the payment certificates, dealing with administrative issues. Prepare the Meeting minutes, follow up in timely manner, to be based on signed contracts (refer to General specification, Articles Government tenders and procurement laws), using the standard method of measurement.

Variation requests, variation orders Review.

Cross checking the requests for variation, if found errors or if there is exaggeration in price or in quantities, immediately in coordination with QS calling the contractor Engineer, providing the comments and asking them to correct the cost as well as quantities, asking the concerned staff to provide the supporting documents in order to process the variation requests, follow up this matter from time to time till the finalization of variation requests as well as variation order, reporting all the concerned issues to the higher Parsons management as well as to the client MODON, to be based on signed contracts (refer to General specification, Articles Government tenders and procurement laws), using the standard method of measurement.

Progress Meetings and Commercial Meetings:

Arranging the meetings, preparing the progress meetings and commercial meetings, follow up the issues from the start to till finalization, monitoring the project schedule, proving the feedback to the contractor for the update of the project schedule, recovery schedule, checking the cost report etc.

Weekly Monthly Report and Correspondence Works ; Review the contractor weekly report and provide the feedback for the Monthly report to Parsons management, Correspondence works includes drafting the letters for the contractor and as well as for the client, providing the solution to the issue both for the client and as well as to the contractor, follow up the issue till finalization.

Prepare the cost report as per management requirement. Arranging the meetings, prepare the Meeting Minutes, follow up the issues related to commercial, Planning and contracts.

Modify the QS report based on Contractor submission, follow up the QS report as per Ministry request, as per management requirement, prepare the financial statement.

Providing the solution to the Management pertaining to the planning, fluctuation in cost as per requirement, coordinating the technical team.

Coordination work with the Architect, in coordination with Architect preparing the Cost saving proposal.

Follow up the work from day to day basis.

Coordinating with construction team, from day to day reporting to the manager.

Worked as Senior Contracts Manager/Senior planning Engineer including Costing and QS Works.

Responsibilities:

Dealing with the Contracts issues and payment issues,

Review Payment Certificates, prepare the recommendation to the client for the contractor payment certificate, Coordinating the persons in-charge for the insurance issues, bonds issues.

Review Variation requests, variation orders Review, prepare the recommendation to the client for the variation request and variations orders.

Review Weekly and Monthly Progress Report, providing the comments on these reports, preparing the Monthly report for the client, Office correspondence work, providing the necessary advice to the office staff as and when required.

Follow up on daily basis the issues with the contractor till the issue is finalized.

Position: Cost Manager for KAEC Project and Senior Project Control Engineer (Planning) including Cost, contracts and QS works- PMO works.

Project: King Abdullah Economic City, Rabigh- Jeddah-Infrastructure works, Building works and KAFD project

Responsibilities:

Dealing with contracts and planning for KAEC for the infrastructure works, multistoried buildings construction works for Resort cove area, approximate cost of the Resort cove on going projects is around 2 Billion Saudi Riyals, on going projects are Town houses 270 villas, Community 1b 134 villas contractor, SOD 7 villas, RC Mall, GEMS world Academy ( School Project ).

Dealing with contracts and planning for Zone A infrastructure, Zone B infrastructure, Zone E,and the projects under tendering works ( big city which the forecast cost is about 350 Billion SR)

Follow up the monthly report, getting the information from site staff category vise.

PMO works : Providing the input for the Design BOQ which includes specifications, description of the items, arranging the meetings with the designer/consultants, explaining the need for the project budget cost, accordingly give the instruction to designer to put the required specifications within the budgets, checking the design BOQ, projects specifications, condition of contract, providing to Turner higher management as well as to client EEC the required data as per requirement.

Project Management Works : Official correspondence works, checking the consultant invoices, contractor invoices, inviting the contractor for the tendering works, at the same time giving recommendation to the consultant designer for any correction in contracts documents and BOQ, Bid analysis report, prepare the recommendation report to the client for the contractor and consultant, arranging the meetings with the consultant as well as with the contractor, providing solution to the contractor for the bidding works

Payment certificates Review :

Follow up any pending issues either with the contractor or with the consultant or with EEC, the pending issues are being reminded by sending the E mails and by telephone in order to close the matter smoothly, if any Turner staff person needs any clarification, at the same time assistance is being given to the required person from my side who is in need of the help or clarifications, the matters may be for the projects support related to planning, contractual issues, may be for any issues etc, leading the Turner staff as per requirement for contractual issues for technical issue for correspondence issues by coordinating higher Turner management.

Worked as Senior planning Engineer, preparing the Master baseline schedule in P6 format, cost loading, resource loading, preparing the weekly report monthly report, updating the reports, updating the schedule periodically, evaluating the earned value from P6, and updating the schedule by attaching the baseline schedule, by P6 it shows how much the project is going to be delayed.
