Provided the technical expertise, leadership, and support essential in establishing and maintaining Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) within the facility to ensure food safety through implementation of Hygienic Zoning, Pre-Operation, and Foreign Material Monitoring programs. Spearheaded the development of a self certifyng gluten free program, ensuring that the manufacturing plant remained a dedicated gluten free facility. Established an in house testing program to monitor incoming raw materials and outgoing finished products by adhering to an incorporated HACCP and cGMP Plan. Quality Control Team Leader

Flora is an organic food/dietary supplement processor of Herbal Teas, Culinary Oils (Olive, Almond, Walnut, Flax), Probiotics, Dietary/Herbal Supplements employing approximately 100 people. Played a key role in the process of obtaining GMP certification for the company by developing, reviewing and reformatting current SOPs (for both Quality and Production departments) to increase production efficiencies and maintain industry standards. Presented a cost analysis, return of investment and laboratory validation plan to bring microbiology testing in-house. Currently oversee three Quality Technicians, and have implemented the current training program within the Quality and Production departments to meet cGMP guidelines. A product stability program equipment and validation/verification program (working in conjunction with the Production Manager) has been established during my tenure in the company.
