The NOC (Network Operation Center) uses multiple tools procedures in a front line, proactive approach towards the detection of potential network failures. The NOC employs multiple network monitoring tools running across several platforms, with Netcool (Tivoli) as their centralized NMS (Network Management System.) The variety and combination of applications and in-house developed integrations help ensure strict and redundant monitoring of all network resources, and maintain the highest standard of reliability, availability and service to Altice USA (Optimums) high-speed network and its customers.

NOC Level 2 team is responsible for monitoring the performance, availability, and conditions relating to the internal infrastructure of the NOC Operations. This includes, supporting server and network hardware, performing all tasks associated with the maintenance, completion and upgrades of related project work, supporting network management applications, and performing triage where possible on moderate to complex problems prior to escalating to NOC Engineers, NOC Management, Various other groups, and third-party venders and partners. NOC Level 2 Team will also assist in identifying inefficiencies in monitoring, troubleshooting, tracking and communication processes and assist in developing integrations for the Netcool (Tivoli) system. Communicating and troubleshooting with OSP (Outside Plant) and the (ROC).

Skills: Supporting levels of services in telephony and or video and or data customers. Include

capacity management including, planning and control of network components and facilities to

ensure bandwidth and ability to handle peak usage for all customers by providing adequate network resource. Basic CISCO IOS systems experience understanding troubleshooting. IP, PIN, LAN/WAN setup. Good knowledge in different protocols in DHCP,DNS,FTP and VOIP.
