Responsibilities & Duties of Storekeeper:
Monitoring the quantities available on stock with a clear picture of the materials.
Taking physical inventory once a month to cross check with the monthly inventory report.
Correspondence with Foreign Suppliers via E-mail, usage of Internet.
To ensure goods keep by first in first out method (FIFO).
To ensure recording of the necessary data in ledger and computer on time
Maintain clear and organized records to ensure all reports and invoices are filed and stored properly.
Responsible to verify all goods arrived as per the agreed purchase, delivery note and agreed quantity has been received
Refuse acceptance of damaged, unacceptable, or incorrect items.
Ensure the quantity requested and the quantity issued always matches.
Assist the Accounts Payable Clerk / payable assistant in finding out any cost discrepancies.
Work closely with Purchasing to order and receive items and equipment.
Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
Speak with others using clear and professional language.
Keep accurate recordings of all incoming and outgoing goods.
Notify the store manager/supervisor of any low stock levels.
Identify and report any slow-moving items to avoid over purchasing.
Personnel/ Coordination
Assist Purchasing officer and other Site Management Staff in our daily duties by given them accurate information on stock and “in/ out” material.
Development of new vendors.
Evaluating vendors & negotiating the price, delivery schedule and terms and conditions with them.
Controlling
Maintained store facilities to ensure smooth functioning – Made arrangements and placed orders for new stock and supplies whenever necessary.
Prepare the checkout voucher following the request for materials which have been approved by the P.O
Inform in an immediate basis to the concerned one when material requested is no more available.
Protect all delivered goods on site in order to avoid any damage in charge of loading/ unloading of all materials up until their final location (could be done in in coordination with our Sub Contractors).
Others:
Perform other tasks as may be required by the management or/ and for the good progress of the project.
