WORK HISTORY
Mar. 06 - Current Woodbridge Foam Fabricating Inc.: (Process Manager)
Manage the entire process department of engineers, supervisors and hourly teammates. Produced record numbers within first year in product yield and conversion cost. Have been a large contributor in making the Chattanooga plant the backbone of the Woodbridge Group through profitability and stability. Embraced a vital role in implementing a LEAN environment to eliminate waste through continuous improvement. Controlled and maintained HS&E elements ensuring Safety First and a positive moral with all teammates. Controlled and maintained documentation and procedures to ensure the facility obtained and sustained TS16949 certification in the automotive industry.
Sept. 01 - Mar. 06 Woodbridge Foam Fabricating Inc.: (Process Engineer)
Introduced new specialty equipment and modernized previous methods to improve the production process of Polyurethane Flexible Foam through Lean manufacturing techniques. Have taken individual projects from concept, through design and approval, and ultimately implemented into the production process reducing the cost of manufacturing and ensuring safety. Have utilized Statistical Process Control and Six Sigma tools to ensure quality to the automotive industry. Have also managed hazardous and non-hazardous waste generation and disposal with DOT and RCRA certifications.
Sept. 00 - May 01 Senior Design Project with Astec Industries: (Engineer/ Engr. Manager)
Managed a research and development team of engineers to design and construct a soil remediation test device through a joint project with the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Was in charge of monthly reports, meeting agendas, and work schedule for the team. The project consisted of researching soil remediation, researching existing plants, and developing a test device to provide data that enabled Astec to test specific characteristics of contaminated soil.
Jan. 99 - Aug. 99 Matrix Separations: (Maintenance Engineer)
Organized maintenance for mechanical machines used in the mass production of liquid filtration. Trained upcoming maintenance technicians. Involved in a group design process that introduced robotics in the line of production.
May 96 – Sept. 96 King Mechanical Contractors: (Mechanical Technician)
Dealt with sheet metal and pipe fitting for major industries. Was stationed at M&M
Mars for a good portion of my career at King. Installed and repaired plumbing and heating for many years prior with experience ranging from major air duct layouts to general plumbing in my family’s business.
