Responsible for the Complete Training of Precinct Judges and Chief Judges on the correct Processes, Procedures and Equipment used on election day. Also involved in Volunteering at two local Food Banks, Agape “Care and Share” in Winston Salem and the “Out of the Garden Project” in Greensboro.
2011 – 2018 TEIS ERP Systems Analysis (Specializing in SAP Purchasing)
Responsible for the Complete Purchasing Training of Business Units that migrated to SAP (Automotive, D&D, Industrial/Appliance, GATD/Industrial Relays) in the U.S. and Mexico. In this capacity, I was responsible to educate the Business Units, on all of the various SAP processes and tools available for Purchasing. Responsible for the Roll-Out of SAP Workflow Approvals and now the New DOA Approvals within the US and Mexico. Organize quarterly SAP Purchasing User Group meeting. Very involved and received many ECE awards from my internal customers. 2010 – 2011 TEIS System Business Analysis and the SOC (Strategic, Optimization and Certification) Team
Responsible as the Purchasing interface between the Purchasing SAP User Group community and the Purchasing IT Programming Core team. This included leading scheduled Purchasing User group and Purchasing Super Group, Training and Information meetings. Responsible for Purchasing SAP Certification, Purchasing Plant process Reviews, composed Purchasing Newsletter articles, and Day to Day SAP support for the using plants.

Group Leader of the SAP Purchasing Local Implementation Team as a part of the larger team task to implement SAP in the AD&M Group. This involved me learning SAP, creating a full set of training documents, interacting with various other functions, and actual training of various purchasing functions from requisitioner to purchasing management.
2000 - 2007 Purchasing Commodity Manager
Responsibility for $10+ million is purchases for Tyco Electronics in the packaging, labeling and specialty tape commodities. These purchases covered some 22 Tyco plants across the U.S. and Mexico. Worked on various cost savings, inventory reduction, and supplier reduction programs to help keep Tyco competitive in the marketplace. Directed a team which used many tools to track supplier performance in Ship-To-Request & Ship-To-Schedule, quality performance, and annual supplier cost reduction programs. This commodity out performed all other major commodities in every key category.
1994 - 2000 Operations/Production Manager
Full responsibility for a $14 million manufacturing division of 30+ employees with a Fortune 500 Company, which included overseeing: purchasing, materials planning, manufacturing, transportation/shipping, receiving, stores, and various engineering functions. Streamlined and transferred this manufacturing operation from Pennsylvania to North Carolina without losing a single hour of production time. Instituted programs that accomplished cost savings of more than $200,000 per year for this operation. Participated in several major customer focused programs that were each over $2 million.
1989 - 1994 Senior Purchasing Buyer
Purchased all packaging materials and mediums for 27 manufacturing buildings.
Instituted cost and supplier reduction programs netting $5+ million cost savings for AMP.
Composed long-term contracts.
1978 - 1989 Various Packaging Engineering Functions
Promoted from packaging technician to various levels of engineering culminating in a promotion to packaging engineering management.
Managed a department for an operating division. Designed containers of a complex nature utilizing numerous materials for packaging of electrical and electronic connectors. Participated in cost improvement programs. Liaison for various internal functions as related to suppliers and customers. Maintained various internal, customer, and government packaging specifications.
Responsible for design, development, and printing of the first government bar coded labels meeting both government and customer specifications.
Pioneered and implemented the complete packaging and labeling database which is the foundation of the current database used today at AMP, Inc. / TYCO Electronics.
