RESPONSIBILITIES
Internal Controls
Evaluation of all new Clients for Credit Worthiness and “workability” in a timely manner Prepare the Company’s Credit Policies and procedures and ensure adherence to the same Support the creation of and maintain a Credit Relationship Database(CRD) for all clients Monitor / Update all the Clients in CRD on an Annual basis for change in possible Credit Status Working closely with clients to facilitate / support in disputed cases Ensure accounting of bad-debts and provisioning, complying with IFRS9 standards Support Management to ensure thorough Financial analyses of the viability of all Commercial propositions and positions
Handling the decision process on disconnecting the Supply when payment cannot be negotiated Recommend any changes in Credit Control mapping to improve efficiency Monitor & analyze collection trends and identify debt issues at an early stage Undertaking preparation of ERM (Enterprise Risk Management) for AR related risks Credit Controls
Proactively manage Customer payments, in accordance with the Company policy to ensure they are being received on time
Ensure that the Company’s over-due Debts are minimized and within permissible limits Maintain regular contact with all Customers through site visits, focusing on accounts having issues with debt collection
