PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS OVERVIEW
Mr. Bhutta has an extensive background in most all aspects of civil and structural engineering including performing design analyses of civil structures using reinforced concrete, structural steel, masonry and wood. As a group leader however, he has managed civil engineering designs for many types of projects including pipelines, tank farms, petroleum pumping stations, substations, civil works and related control systems. In addition, he has designed nuclear power plants, circulating water system, water and wastewater treatment plants, overhead tanks, reservoirs, caissons, tunnels, subway stations, infra- structure facilities, residential and commercial buildings for a brand new industrial city of Al-Jubail, Saudi Arabia. Mr. Bhutta has demonstrated his working knowledge of all National Codes and Standards throughout his career. He has managed a staff of thirty, and moreover, have been project engineering manager for the following types of projects: residential, commercial, industrial and institutional buildings, an airstrip, highways, bridges and culverts in Unites States of America & elsewhere. He is an expert cost estimator and has taught engineering and construction courses as well.

As a lead structural engineer, engaged in the major redesign of Area 31 Potash Loadout Building founded on caisson foundations.The project involved checking structural adequacy of approximately 50% of the existing structure including caissons. In addition, employed in the design of Area 20 Headfram No. 1 expansion of facilities. Structural design of curved and straight monorail designs for area 54. In addition, prepared structural design calculations for foundations of an elevator approx. 200 ft. high for area 57. Supervised designers and jr. engrs.

Employed in the design of replacement of rotted wood poles carrying existing utilities like piping and cables with new steel poles. Prepared cookbook design of Hilti-bolts for the use of nuclear facilities and checked design calculations of several facilities done by other engineers.

Design and critical assessment of two low level radioactive waste disposal facilities under 10 CFR 61 and equivalent state regulations. These facilities are located in Utah and Texas and have design lives in excess of 100 years.

Worked in Engineering, Construction and O&M Departments in Saudi Arabia. Assignment lasted 6-years. Managed a group of up to thirty three engineers. Also, managed large international labor force in Saudi Arabia.
