As the President of SoCal Bakeries, consolidated 2 manufacturing facilities into 1 as well as strengthened co-packer relations with customers.
As the Vice President of Operations for United States Bakery, effectively oversaw the complete design and construction of a 45,000 square feet green field plant that remains a premier bun manufacturing plant for the McDonald’s system, producing $10M in sales annually.
As the General Manager for Gai’s Bakery, achieved one year without lost time injury for 500 employees, last place to first in safety among peers. This resulted in a saving of $500K / year in workers compensation costs for a leading regional baker through focus on safety as paramount issue and providing incentives to raise awareness in this hazardous industrial environment.
As the General Manager, held total P&L and operations responsibility for two manufacturing facilities Gai’s Bakery producing over $150M annual revenues with a budget of $35M.
Turned around the largest Seattle bakery operation, which was acquired by the United States Bakery, with $3.3M In new profits. Assumed control of this acquisition that doubled size of company revenues and became General Manager of three manufacturing plants with 1300 employees and combined sales of $150M.
As the Vice President of Operations for United States Bakery, effectively developed a long shelf life formula for bread without compromising nutritional content. Led to a $1.2M government contract for the Desert Storm war in the Persian Gulf.
Saved $500k annually with installation of automated systems and efficiency programs for a small manufacturing plant.
Saved $2,500 weekly on ingredient costs with simplified ingredient list.
As the Vice President of Operations for United States Bakery, effectively saved millions through closing and consolidating plants operating less than full capacity, grouping high speed and high volume products to optimize efficiency.
As the General Manager for Franz Bakers, saved $1M per year through strategic cuts to operating costs.
