Express Scripts 06/2013 - 09/2013 Technical Lead

* Express Scripts recently bought out Medco and is in the process of merging

their IT prescription claims development/delivery system.

* Responsible for Functional and Technical design documents on several projects

that were handed off to the offshore development teams.

* Coordinated with offshore teams and Business Users to resolve any functional or technical

Design and DB2/Cobol coding questions.

* Involved with testing all specified deliverables to ensure project met all design specifications

Emblem Health Insurance 03/2007 – 12/2010 Technical Project Leader

This company was result of a merger of 2 Health Care agencies, H.I.P. and GHI.

I was invited back to this company because of my former employment at H.I.P.

* Responsible for new project development from inception thru to project promotion

and follow up.

* Part of a team that worked on a major integration of another Health care

claims processing systems,(GHI), into HIP’s claims processing system. Helped resolve claims

processing integration problems, DB2 logic to Cobol-2, and acted as the IT claims department’s

representative during weekly departmental meetings.

* Organized meetings with Business Partners at Emblem to clarify project parameters and

expectations.

* Wrote Functional and Technical design documents for multiple projects that were used

as guides for programmers in writing the Cobol code for these projects.

* Coded and tested major segments of claims processing upgrades.

* Met with Quality Assurance team and Business Partners to review the design documents

to ensure all aspects of the projects could be delivered in a timely and efficient schedule.

* Supervised several in-house Analysts and other Analysts working in a remote location

* Improved Batch Production run cycle by 50%.

* Sent to school to learn Informix, then returned to start converting

several batch programs to Informix.

* Designed/Coded major tax reporting program for a prospective new client.

I was given responsibility to code and test within a two week period.

Client supplied the test data and the new tax report was returned to client

for review. Client approved the reports and E.T.C. had a new client.

H.I.P. 10/1993 - 09/1995

* Part of team responsible for new Medical Claim Software package.

H.I.P. was using an outside vendor to process claims, they deceided

to purchase the software and integrate it into the current claims processing

cycle. At the same time, the team was responsible for adding a new

feature involving the elimination of multiple claim inputs and using a

new universal input claim form.

* Responsible for designing and testing new online screens, coding new

batch medical claim reports, creating new OS/JCL procs and procedures.

* I had worked at H.I.P. 2 years prior and was brought back again

to assist with this new project.
