Duties and Responsibilities:

Review the ITP’s, Quality procedures and dossiers.

Inspection of incoming raw material

Inspect the welding consumables, filler material compare with required standard and releasing for production.

Review of WPS, PQR and witnessing of Welder qualification Test.

Welding Inspection during pre-assembly, fit-up, stage-wise and final stages.

Inspection of welding equipments and baking ovens.

Monitor the Welding parameters.

Inspection of pre heat value in low alloy material as per the specification.

To carry out the inspection of structural plates and reinforcement pads for tanks.

Witness PWHT activity and review the graph records.

Witnessing Dye Penetrate Testing, and UT Thickness Measurement.

Interpretation of radiography films and evaluates to minimize the rejection.

Fit-up and welding inspection of piping and structural components.

Ensure Welding works are performed as per Welding Procedure Specification

Making surveillance during welding to ensure that a Qualified Personnel carries out work using controlled parameters and correct consumables according to procedure.

Measuring welding heat input in LTCS materials.

Inspect the nozzle for fit up, welding and visual inspections as per the project requirements.

Carry out the DPT & MPT witness inspection of reinforcement pad and structural components

Monitor Brinell hardness test especially on carbon steels and low alloy steels to verify hardness is within the range given in client specifications and international standards.

Generating NCR’s in case of violations and monitoring corrective actions.

Reviewing weekly reports and maintaining records.

Review of hydro test packages and witnessing hydrostatic and pneumatic testing

Witnessing the NDT activities are carried out as per project requirement

Issuing the punch points prior to the Hydro test.

Receiving and submitting the all relevant documents prior to the leak test and getting approval from the clients.

Witnessing the all activities such as Flushing, Hydro test, Pneumatic test, etc

Inspection of Painting Activities like surface profile, DFT Check

During insulation, stage wise inspection like a surface preparation, insulation and cladding

Co-ordination with the engineering department for the updating of any site modifications ( Red Markup) on isometric & P&ID.

Preparing Final QA/ QC documents and submit the final dossier to the client
