Currently working as Deputy General Manager in SAIL for last 25 years, I have more than 35 years of work experience in project management for the entire life cycle- commissioning, maintenance and operation -of critical electrical projects in various power plants across India. A technical manager in the field of electrical engineering, I have gained exposure in some of the most critical projects spanning across companies like The English Electric Company, Indian Cable Co and Steel Authority Of India Ltd .

Deputy General Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for setting up the Phase 1 Expansion (installation and commissioning ) of Durgapur Steel Plant,SAIL

• Responsible for the maintenance and steady operations of power management / electrical distribution for the entire Durgapur Steel Plant

• Responsible for maintenance and operations for the electrical department of Town Services, Durgapur Steel Plant

• Coordinating with external partners(Third party vendors), internal teams( procurement, finance etc) along with a team of people to ensure smooth delivery of services

Key Achievements/Initiatives:

• Received Jawahar Award in 2017 from Managing Director of Durgapur Steel Plant, a recognition for excellent services

• Played an important role in construction of the Phase 1 expansion of Durgapur Steel Plant

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for construction of new electrical projects in 500 MW unit at NTPC,Ramagundam and FCI etc.

•Coordinating closely with Clients, Project Management teams & other internal teams such as design, logistics, projects, commercial & finance teams to ensure smooth project execution
