To understand the basic of shale gas and it’s geological aspects.

To study the exploration and production activities of shale gas.

•Comparative and Economic Study on Drilling fluid Weighting Additives

(Guide: Dr. Virendra Bahadur Singh, January’16 - June’16)

The purpose of this study is to find out the additive that is best effective in increasing the density of the drilling fluid yet is cost effective.

•Seismic Data Interpretation

(Guide: Mr. K. Vasudevan, June’17 - July’17)

To study and interpreted the geological feature of the given 3D seismic data.

Interpretation was carried out with the help of OpendTect (dGB earth science) Software.

•Reservoir Stimulation Study for Gas

(Guide: Mr. R.D. Pachori, January’18 - July’18)

Reservoir simulation studies of gas field to prepare field development plan for optimum exploitation.

Optimum exploitation of new field through field development is the major in oil industry. Reservoir simulation is the technique which helps in estimating optimum number of well required, production profile of each well, recovery factor etc.

The studies will be carried out using Mbal and CMG-IMEX software to estimate in- place volume of hydrocarbon and 3D modal of the gas field will be prepared.

The long term production profile of existing wells as well as proposed wells will be generated through simulation.

•ONGC (KDMIPE, GEOPIC,IDT), Dehradun, Uttarakhand.
