Even when a dictionary is used, which is provided by an organization such as the World Health Organization or the Maintenance and Support Services Organization (MSSO), data may be inconsistent with its terminology for a variety of reasons:
Medical personnel may use terminology different from the dictionaries.
New drugs may have been developed since the dictionary was created.
A study may require more precise terminology for a health condition than is available in the dictionary.
Medical personnel may misspell drug names or health conditions.
Data entry personnel may misinterpret or mistype the data.
TMS maps raw data, or verbatim terms, to dictionary terms in a process called classification. TMS automatically classifies verbatim terms that directly match a dictionary term, and allows manual classification of variant or misspelled terms and sets TMS to classify any future occurrences automatically. Used QC for Test Management.

Arsenal is a platform developed for communicating from Corporate to the Microsoft Enterprise sales force. Arsenal offers downloadable portal content as web services. Today more than ten role based intranet community portals use Arsenal as their platform, and many portals access Arsenal content via these services. Arsenal also provides offline delivery services through which 3 types of DVDs are produced quarterly to ship the content. It uses smart client technology for downloadable content for publishers to publish their content at one central repository without the need to publish it in many different places targeting many different roles of users. Thus it avoids content redundancy and potentially different versions of content floating around causing confusion. The smart client technology allows auto updates and provides rich user experience to the publishers.
