Project Description

Title: Medapoint

The entire Medapoint application suite consists of 4 different applications – Advance Dispatch, Advance Claim, Advance API and Advance Reporting. The entire application is built on Microsoft .NET technologies hosted on Windows Azure. Medapoint Communications supporting is a component built on top of Twilio that provides Text and Voice capabilities to the Medapoint applications. a) Advance Claim is a completely online billing application. Claims can be created manually or through NEMSIS feeds or adhoc NEMSIS upload. The claim cycle goes all the way traversing through different Payers for making payments and adjustments and finally getting the claims closed. b) Advance Dispatch is a Medical Dispatch application that is fully online. The main purpose of the application is to take 911 or regular calls and schedule vehicles. Managing the crew, capturing timestamps and tracking the vehicles are also the major functionalities provided by the application. c) Advance API is a REST based functionality exposed so that external parties can send or take information from the Medapoint database. Currently the following functionalities are handled by the API : 1. Workflow – The workflow application communicates through the API for the functionalities where it needs to update the database or fetch information from it. 2. EDI – The EDI accesses the API mainly for sending in the ERAs and also to fetch the supporting information required for it.
